Contemporary Organic and Sculptural Metalwork |
Over the years, David Hyde has created a wide and diverse range of metalwork. This page highlights an ecletic selection of commissons from David's portfolio with a strong organic and sculptural theme. When metals are heated and forged to shape, they have a natural tendency to move and flow in an organic way. The curves and shapes that develop as a piece of metal is worked when hot, often suggest the growth of a leaf, bud or shoot. Some of the work below exemplifies this.
