This large and dramatic Art Nouveau inspired trellis and complementary handrails, were commissioned for this town house in the Netherlands.
The metalwork was designed to soften the straight lines of the house and be both sculptural and functional.
The juxtaposition of the formal and regular architecture of the building, with the sinuous and flowing lines of the
metalwork, creates a striking and eye catching contrast.
The trellis's naturalistic and flowing curves capture the youthful essence of a vigorously growing plant, and will eventually be enveloped by the climbing vegetation it supports.
