This collection of heart sculptures shows two "kintsugi" inspired "healed-broken hearts", and a very symbolic
Valentine's Day heart made as a fusion of two different metals.
Kintsugi is traditional Japanese art where, rather than being disguised, repairs to broken pottery are highlighted with gold or silver.
This technique honours the object's past and embodies the philosophy of "wabi-sabi" that embraces flaws or
imperfections.
The copper heart has a golden aluminium bronze "repair", whilst the darkly patinated bronze heart has a stainless steel
repair.
