The design of these wrought iron stair balustrades reflects the attention
to
detail and
craftsmanship seen in the metalwork of the Arts and Crafts movement.
Crisp and expressive
joinery featuring traditional detailing such as
hot punched holes,
rivets and
ball nuts is used throughout the balustrade. Satin polished
copper spacers and rivets are used as a counterpoint and accent to the mottled charcoal grey of the burnished and waxed
wrought ironwork.
