David Hyde's study of, and fascination with pomegranates, their symbolism and mythology.
David uses a proprietary version of traditional cire perdue (lost wax) to cast life-like bronze pomegranates.
However, he modifies the casting process to include stylised seeds made from contrasting metals, such as stainless steel. In a
previous study, David cast more realistic bronze pomegranates set with garnet gemstones as seeds.
