This forged bronze sculpture by
David Hyde was inspired by the
texture of the rocks of the Jurassic Coast where he lives and the abundance of fossils to be found in them.
David purposely forged a variety of bespoke hammers to capture the deep, rich and varied texture of the rocks. Once shaped, the bronze was
patinated then gently polished to highlight and emphasise the texture of the metal.
