This very special garden gate was commissioned by a keen gardener and passionate bird watcher.
The gate's design was inspired by nature, and natural forms and features a specially commissioned cast
bronze wren perched on one of its posts.
Great care was taken with the design of the gate's curved support post to disguise its functional nature.
The post blends and morphs into the gate itself.
The post was forged to
taper
along its full length giving it a deceptively delicate appearance but
maintaining strength where needed.
Very few straight lines were used for the design and it incorporates two of Verdigris' signature features; the tactile latch and the curved top with its
wrapped joinery.
