This page features a selection of David Hyde's smaller snowdrop sculptures that are typically around a metre tall.
Much larger snowdrops made as garden lights and sculpture can be seen here,
whilst this blog page shows examples of David's sculpture being made.
The snowdrops are made from
galvanised
steel.
This can be left with its bright freshly galvanised finish that will slowly weather and dull off, or can be given an aged finish that will weather to a wonderfully rich powdery, grey-white finish reminiscent of old lead.
A similar snowdrop made from patinated copper can be seen
here.
The snowdrops are all bespoke and hand forged.
Their clean flowing lines and rich detail are designed to capture all of the grace and charm of one of David's favourite garden plants.
The sculptures can be made with either a round base with fixing holes or a spike for driving into the ground.
