A specially commissioned forged steel balustrade made for a small balcony outside an apartment.
This contemporary interpretation of Art Nouveau metalwork was inspired by the flowing curves and expressive shapes of the period.
The bold forms within the balustrade were made by forging the
steel whilst hot, a process which imparts individuality, brings the metal to life and lends a three dimensional quality.
The balustrade was galvanised
then painted with
graphite enhanced paint, highlighting the
detail and
texture in the forged steel.
