The focus of these Baroque inspired stair railings is very much the ornate metal newel post on display as you enter the hallway. The handrail twists and spirals into the post
to blend with the hand forged leaves and make just the statement that the clients were looking for.
The ornate leaves, tendrils and curlicues used to create the railings were forged using the skills of a traditional blacksmith to create a modern design; each is different and unique.
The railings replace the original wooden banisters of the new build
property. Rather than dismantling the stairs, the wooden posts were
truncated and the railings set into them.
Whimsical and stylised "roots" draw the eye away from the remnants
of the posts.
