H38 Subtly detailed metal stair railings

These metal stair railings were designed to be understated yet richly detailed. The hand forged steel panels were textured whilst red hot using specially made hammers. Each hammer has a different textured face, and every panel is unique. They are held in place with allen bolts in hot punched holes using polished copper spacers as an accent.

The handrail volutes were also forged to shape and have a rich and expressive texture and a pleasing tactile feel as you sweep your hand around them.
