These forged steel grills were commissioned for a villa in the South of France whose owner previously commissioned these unique forged steel railings.
The entwining and stylised ivy helps soften the look of the grills' steel bars, as does the rich detailing seen throughout the grill. This includes the hot punched holes, elegantly tapered stems, the forged texture on the stems and the "upset" swellings on the bar ends.
The ivy leaves were all individually hand forged
to give them a refined delicacy not seen in mass produced, stamped out metal leaves. They were forged to look
equally as elegant from the front or the back.
