H28: Organic Wrought Iron Handrail

The design of this contemporary wrought iron handrail was inspired by the graceful curves seen in nature and uses four stylised plants as support posts. The handrail was made by forging the steel whilst hot. When heated in a blacksmith's forge the metal becomes soft and malleable and can be beaten into the organic shapes seen in the handrail. Its finish is galvanised steel giving a modern look to the design.
