Although this pedestrian gate has a relatively understated design, it is still very
detailed.
All the leaves and stems are at different heights and face in different
directions. This variety contrasts with the plain upright bars of the gate.
The lower row of hand forged leaves
has a coy and bashful stance that suggests sprouting seedlings. The
upper leaves reflect this design but feature a much more sculptural and
three dimensional shape. This quality is enhanced by their
elegantly tapering stems.
