The design of these bespoke contemporary metal railings was inspired by the elegant sweeping curves of Art Nouveau ironwork. The railings are a creative blend of straight lines, flowing curves and forged detailing.
Although understated, the railings are still richly detailed. Traditional blacksmithing techniques were used to make the railings. These include splitting the steel to forge the buds, hammering the metal into the graceful tapers and hot punching the holes (as opposed to drilling). This level of finesse and detailing simply isn't seen in railings made using mass produced off the shelf components.
