S136 Galvanised Steel Iris Sculpture and Water Feature

"... stylish, elegant, and bespoke metalwork ..."

Brisley, Norfolk

The elegant shape of an iris was a natural inspiration for the design of this water feature. The hand forged petals of this sculpture were carefully shaped to allow water to flow over the gently curving metal then cascade into the pond below.

The finish can be left with it's freshly galvanised surface that will very slowly weather into a more matt grey. Alternatively, special chemicals can be used to age the finish to a mottled grey black that quickly weathers into a powdery grey with the look of old lead.

Water features such as this can be made with either a steel fixing plate or can be cast into a concrete block for direct placement into the water.

Similarly hand forged copper irises can be seen in this page.

The metal iris sculpture sits well in its English garden setting
The water feature is 1.1m high
