H112 Arts and Crafts Stair Railings with a Naturalistic Theme

This pair of naturalistic stair railings was influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement. They were carefully designed to have an elegant and uncluttered appearance, whilst still meeting building regulations and the "100mm gap" rule. This states that railings guarding a drop over 600mm should not have gaps that a 100mm diameter sphere can pass through.

The hand forged leaves and stems were burnished and waxed with "Gilders Paste Wax" for a subtle finish suggestive of antique nickel.
