G99 Blacksmith Made Flowing Circle in a Square Gates

This pair of driveway gates features a simple but effective blend of curves that morph into a circle and fit within a square space. The flowing lines draw the viewer into the design as the eye follows the curves around, purposefully distracting from the otherwise featureless straight lines of the framework.

Traditional blacksmithing skills were used to create a contemporary design. Each curve was individually hand shaped and carefully blended by hammer and eye to flow into its neighbour.
