This contemporary and innovative wrought iron gate was built from the centre outwards, avoiding the use of a conventional frame. The shape of the
forged steel uprights
gives the gate a "suggested" arched profile and emphasises its frameless construction.
The gate was made without any electrical welding. Instead, the
joinery uses
rivets in
hot punched holes; a traditional
method that would have been used by blacksmiths centuries ago. The finish is graphite grey paint, with silver highlighting dry brushed on.
