The design of this pair of asymmetrical wrought iron gates is a pleasing blend of straight lines and flowing organic
detailing; neither
of which dominates the overall look of the gates. The bespoke tendrils, leaves and flowers are hand
forged using traditional
blacksmithing techniques whilst the gates have a
galvanised finish for a contemporary appearance and decades of rust protection.
The larger panel is kept closed in normal use with the smaller panel serving as a pedestrian gate. Since there is an appreciable slope to the driveway, the bottom frames are slanted to take account of this when the gates are opened.
