H55 Steel Tree Stair Balustrade

This forged steel balustrade was based on a stylised tree branch who's "twigs" were given a hammered texture to suggest bark. The growth of the tree spreads up the stairs and across the two panels of the gallery.

The steel was burnished and finished with a hard clear protective wax. This highlights the forged steel's tones and textures that paint would mask.
