Expressive joinery is at the heart of the design of these ornate
steel stair banisters. Rather than simply being welded, the scrolls are joined using
hot punched holes, spacers and
ballnuts to create sharp and crisp feature
detailing.
The soft grey metallic sheen of the finish is obtained by sand blasting the
forged metal then burnishing it with a wire brush and applying a coating of protective
microcrystalline wax.
