These bespoke steel handrails were commissioned by customers with a passion for all things Art Nouveau.
The design of the handrail reflects and complements the period features seen throughout their house.
The sweeping and flowing lines of the handrails were inspired by the curvilinear forms typical of Art Nouveau metalwork.
They were made by forging the steel whilst hot using traditional
blacksmithing techniques, a process that naturally creates expressive and flowing forms.
The owners also commissioned
this gate to complement the handrails.
