These richly detailed garden gates have a contemporary design, yet were handmade using traditional blacksmithing techniques. No electrical welding was used, instead they were joined using rivets and hot punched holes. This joinery is used as a design feature of the gate.
The uprights were hand forged to a bud like shape that progressively enlarges. These buds line up to make a semi circle, a prominent motif used in the walled garden the gates are situated in. The gates have no conventional frame; frameless gates and suggested profiles regularly feature in our portfolio.
The owner also commissioned these complementary railings and this equally as detailed gate.
