Letchmore Heath, Hertfordshire |
The theme for the design of these bespoke and handmade garden gates was "wild and almost overgrown". They were part of a series of seven in a delightful garden full of secrets and hidden paths. As the garden matures, its hedges and planting will blend and morph into the gates further enhancing their
overgrown look.
The gates were made using traditional
blacksmithing techniques and are full of expressive
forged
detailing such as
mortise and
tenons and wrapped
joinery. Each leaf is hand forged and all are unique and individual.
A larger pair of gates from the same garden is shown on
this page and a
pedestrian gate is shown
here.
